How do I request a free fence estimate?

Send your name, contact information, project address and what you want the fence to accomplish. Exact measurements and a final material choice are not required to begin.

What fence materials do you install?

We provide wood, vinyl, chain link and aluminum fencing for privacy, pets, pools, property boundaries, commercial needs and attractive open enclosures.

Do you repair and replace existing fences?

Yes. We handle localized fence and gate repairs, partial replacement and full removal and replacement when deterioration or layout problems are widespread.

Do you install fence gates?

Yes. Gate services include walk gates, mower and equipment openings, wider double gates, new installations and repairs for sagging, dragging or latching problems.

What areas do you serve?

Our core area includes Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, Solon and West Branch, with select projects considered in nearby Johnson County communities.

Are you registered and insured?

Iowa City Fence Builders is Iowa contractor registered and fully insured. Documentation and references are available upon request and before work begins.

How do I choose between wood, vinyl, chain link and aluminum?

Choose by the result you want, preferred appearance, visibility, maintenance expectations, repairability, pets, gates and budget. We help compare suitable options during the estimate.

Should I repair or replace my fence?

Repair often makes sense when damage is localized and surrounding materials remain dependable. Replacement offers stronger value when failures repeat, deterioration is widespread or the layout no longer works.

Does an estimate include old-fence removal?

Removal and disposal can be included. The written estimate should identify which panels, fabric, rails, posts, concrete and gates are included in demolition.

Who confirms property lines and local requirements?

The property owner should confirm uncertain boundaries and current municipal, easement, pool-barrier and private-association requirements unless a written agreement clearly assigns responsibility elsewhere.

How long does a fence project take?

Timing depends on scope decisions, property requirements, utility locating, materials, site readiness, weather, footage, gates, removal and access.

Can I see project examples or request references?

Yes. Browse the project gallery for material and layout ideas, and request references as part of your contractor hiring decision.
